Faultline stool

Series of cast stools in raw and polished solid concrete.

The components are connected by gravity and friction alone which with the sheer weight of the concrete makes the two pieces as one but visually leaves a foreboding sense of potential movement. The fracture of the cube leaves a coincidental seating area which is perfectly angled but doesn't interfere with the energy and presence of this piece as an awe inspiring sculpture.

First shown at gallery Fumi, London, and later at Saatchi Gallery for 'Connectors' exhibition with Philip de Pury.
